De Sterke Borg

The installation De Sterke Borg (the strong castle) was built on the previous estate of the Starkenborgh, a small castle in the countryside near Wehe Den Hoorn in Holland. This castle was build in 1679  and was demolished in 1832.

De Sterke Borg is placed at the edge of the former front wall of the castle and refers to the earthquakes caused by the gas extraction in the North of Holland.
