Attic

Three years after his study at the art academy, Boerstra starts to assemble elements from his former attic bedroom. His boy’s room was a place free of artistic knowledge and a universe full of creation and experience.
Arising from the assembly he reconstructs the entire room with its typical slanted plywood walls as a solid architectural space.
Consulting the past becomes a starting point to work from. Re├źnacting childhood adventures is a different way for him to investigate genuine tendencies and fascination.
