The idea to go to Antarctica developed during several projects:
Potato Eater 1 (2004) was situated at the source of the potato: On the potato fields where farmers harvest their crops.
Potato Eater 2 (2007) was on an island in the north of Holland, a one hour walk from the habited world.
Potato Eater 3 – Antarctic Potato Eater – Kick Off during Het Aardappelfeest in Hornhuizen (2016)
Executed as a starting point for the quest to get the fry shack to the South Pole and bake some fries.
